Tottenham learn asking price for 23-year-old target, Postecoglou ‘an admirer’

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Pedro Neto from Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has established himself as one of the best wingers in the Premier League this season and his performances have attracted the attention of Tottenham and Arsenal. He has three goals and 10 assists to his name across all competitions.

A report from Standard claims that Wolves could demand more than £60 million for the Portuguese attacker. Wolves sanctioned the departure of Matheus Nunes to Manchester City for a fee of around £53 million and they are unwilling to sell Neto for less.

It remains to be seen with the Tottenham and Arsenal are prepared to break the bank for him.

Neto will add creativity and goals to the Tottenham attack and he is versatile enough to operate on both flanks. The Portuguese attacker will add explosive pace and dribbling ability in the final third. He will help Tottenham open up deep defences and create goal scoring opportunities on the counter.

He is likely to improve with coaching and experience and he could develop into a top class player for Tottenham with the right guidance. Even if the North London club have to be a premium right now, Neto could justify the investment in the coming seasons.

The report from Standard adds that Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is ‘an admirer’ of the 23-year-old attacker and it will be interesting to see if he can convince the club hierarchy to pay a premium for the player.
