Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo during the summer transfer window.

According to Football Insider, he is on the list of targets for the North London club, but they will have to pay a fee of around £70 million in order to get the deal done. The 25-year-old has been outstanding in the Premier League, and he was one of the best attackers in English football last season.

Pete O’Rourke has revealed: “He’s another player who is on the list of targets for Tottenham.

“He’s had a great season for Bournemouth, there’s no getting away from that, but Bournemouth don’t want to lose him.

“They’ve put a £70 million price tag on his head to try and ward off potential suitors.”

Spurs need attacking depth

There is no doubt that he would be an excellent addition to the Tottenham attacking unit. They need more quality and depth on the side. The 25-year-old is versatile enough to operate anywhere across the front three, and he will add goals and creativity to the Tottenham attack.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to pay the asking price for him. £70 million is a steep price to pay, and Spurs will have to improve other areas of their squad as well. It would not be a surprise if they are priced out of a move for the player.

Spurs will be competing in the UEFA Champions League next season, and they need quality players. The 25-year-old will certainly help them improve in the final third. The opportunity to play for them will be exciting for the player as well. It could be the ideal next step in his career, and he will look to prove himself in the Champions League with Tottenham.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian scored 13 goals last season and picked up seven assists as well. His numbers could improve when he’s playing in a better team alongside quality players. The move to Tottenham could unlock his true potential.
