Tottenham ‘leading’ race to sign attacker with 14 goal contributions after ‘regular checks’ this season

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Hull City winger Jaden Philogene at the end of the season.

A report from TEAMtalk claims that the 22-year-old has attracted the attention of a number of top clubs with his performances in the Championship this season. The winger has picked up eight goals and six assists across all competitions.

Tottenham have made ‘regular checks’ on him over the course of the season and they are ‘leading’ the race to sign him.

It will be interesting to see if the North London club follow up on their interest with an official proposal to sign the winger at the end of the season. He joined Hull in a deal with around £5 million from Aston Villa last summer and the West Midlands club have the option to sign him back for a fee of £15 million if Hull are promoted to the Premier League.

It will be interesting to see if the Tigers are prepared to let the player leave for a similar fee if Tottenham come calling.

The North London club need to add more depth and quality to their attack and Philogene would be a quality long-term acquisition. He will add more cutting edge and creativity going forward.

The opportunity to join a Premier League club will certainly be a tempting proposition for the young winger and his head could be turned if there is an official proposal on the table from the north London club.
