Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Red Bull Salzburg striker Karim Konate.
The 19-year-old Ivorian striker is making waves with his performances in the Austrian Bundesliga and he has been in fine form this season. A report from 90 Min claims that representatives from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were in attendance to watch the striker in action at the weekend.
It is fair to assume that the scouts will have been impressed with the young attacker’s performance who scored twice in the game and helped his side extend their lead at the top of the table.
The Ivory Coast international is a prodigious talent and he is rated highly across Europe. He could prove to be a superb investment for Tottenham and it remains to be seen whether the North London giants decide to sign him in the coming months.
It is no secret that Tottenham will have to add a quality finisher to their squad. They are yet to replace Harry Kane properly and the 19-year-old could be a solid long-term replacement. The striker has 10 goals and six assists to his name across all competitions this season and he has the ability to succeed in the Premier League.
It would be a major step up in his career but he has the ability to adapt to English football and do well for Tottenham. Their free-flowing attacking approach could be a good fit for him as well. Australian manager Ange Postecoglou could help him develop further and fulfil his tremendous potential.
