Argentine winger Facundo Bounanotte has attracted the attention of Tottenham Hotspur with his performances on loan at Leicester City.
The Brighton winger has been quite impressive for the Foxes so far and a report from TBR Football claims that Tottenham are interested in securing his services. However, Brighton have no plans to sell the South American any time soon.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to test their resolve with a lucrative proposal in the coming months. The 19-year-old is highly rated across Europe and he has a bright future. He could develop into a key player for Tottenham with the right guidance.
He is capable of slotting into the wide areas as well as the central attacking midfielder. Former Argentine international and Premier League star Carlos Tevez has likened the player to Lionel Messi because of his technical ability and playing style.
Tevez said in 2022: “I watch football and it’s been a long time since I’ve seen someone play who gives me as much pleasure as Buonanotte.
“When he brakes and accelerates, he reminds me of [Lionel] Messi. He is at a very high level.”
There is no doubt that the 19-year-old has a promising future and a move to Tottenham could get the best out of him. He would get to compete in European football with them and working under a quality manager like Ange Postecoglou will help him improve further.
In addition to that, he would get to play alongside quality players at Tottenham. It would be a major step up in his career, and he could push for trophies with them.
However, Brighton are under no pressure to sell him right now, and it would require a substantial amount of money to change their mind. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to pay over the odds in order to get the deal done.
