Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham.

The 19-year-old has been a key player for them in the Championship and his performances have attracted the attention of the top clubs. According to a report via London World, Tottenham are looking to sign the player and they could face competition from West Ham United as well.

Recently, Football Insider has claimed that Sunderland will place a “huge price tag” on the player and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham are ready to break the bank for him. Jobe is quite highly rated across Europe like his brother Jude Billingham, and he could be a future star for Tottenham.

The North London club could certainly use more quality and depth in the middle of the park and the 19-year-old will add creativity and goals to the side.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League could be quite exciting for the young midfielder, and he will feel that it would be the ideal next step for him. He will look to continue his development with regular football in the English top flight. Tottenham could nurture him into a quality Premier League midfielder and help him fulfil his tremendous potential.

It will be interesting to see if they follow up on their interest with an official proposal to sign the player at the end of the season. Sunderland will certainly make it difficult for the North London club to get the deal done and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.

Jobe Bellingham will look to compete at the highest level like his brother and establish himself as one of the best midfielders in the country. Joining a Premier League club could help take him to the next level. It will be interesting to see if the clubs can agree on a fee now.
