Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Besiktas striker Semih Kilicsoy.
The 18-year-old has been in fine form for the Turkish club this season, scoring eight goals across all competitions. He is valued at €25 million and a number of European clubs are keeping tabs on him.
A report from Aspor claims that Tottenham and Aston Villa have ‘followed the player closely’ this season and they have sent officials to watch him in action.
It will be interesting to see if the North London club decide to follow up on their interest with an official offer to sign the attacker at the end of the season.
Kilicsoy mainly operates as the centre forward, but he is versatile enough to play in the wide areas as well. It is no secret that Tottenham need to sign a quality striker and the 18-year-old could be a quality long term acquisition.
The reported asking price seems reasonable for a player of his potential and the Turkish forward could easily justify the investment in the coming seasons. The opportunity to play in the Premier League will be an attractive proposition for the player as well and he could easily be tempted, if Tottenham come forward with a concrete proposal.
He could share the goalscoring burden with the likes of Richarlison and Son Heung-min next season. His ability to play anywhere across the front three makes the ideal fit for the Spurs attack as well. Regular football in the Premier League could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his tremendous potential.
