Tottenham keen on 10-goal Premier League ace they scouted on Saturday

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the Nottingham Forest forward, Brennan Johnson.

A report from Football Insider claims that the North London club have been scouting the 21-year-old attacker this season, and they are impressed with his performances so far. A club scout watched the player in action on Saturday against Wolves.

The Nottingham Forest star has scored 10 goals across all competitions, including eight strikes in the Premier League.

Johnson is versatile enough to play anywhere across the front three and he could prove to be the ideal long-term acquisition for Tottenham.

The North London club needs to bring in an attacker who will share the goalscoring burden alongside Harry Kane. The 21-year-old would add pace and flair to the side as well.

A move to Tottenham would be a major step up in the player’s career and it could accelerate his development as a footballer.

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest are currently in the relegation battle and a player of Johnson’s ability will want to stay in the top flight if Forest go down at the end of the season.

The likes of Son Heung-Min and Richarlison have been largely underwhelming this season, and Tottenham signed Arnaut Danjuma on loan during the January transfer window.

They must look to bring in a talented, young forward at the end of the season and the 21-year-old Premier League attacker certainly fits the profile.

Tottenham certainly have the resources to tempt Nottingham Forest into selling their prized prospect, and it remains to be seen where the talented youngster ends up.
