Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing the Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher at the end of the season.
The 24-year-old Irishman has been an important first-team player for Liverpool but he has not been able to start regularly in the league. Kelleher is unlikely to get ample game time ahead of Alisson Becker next season either, and he should look to move on in search of regular playing time.
Tottenham are looking to bring in a quality replacement for club legend Hugo Lloris and Kelleher could prove to be a solid, long-term investment.
The Irishman has proven his quality in the cup games with Liverpool and he is an excellent shot-stopper. Lloris has cost Spurs valuable points with his error-prone performances this season and the youngster could be a quality alternative.
According to the Irish Independent, Liverpool value the player at £20 million and he could prove to be a bargain acquisition for the north London club. Tottenham certainly have the financial means to pay £20 million for the Liverpool player and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can come to an agreement soon.
Brighton and Brentford are keen on the Liverpool keeper as well.
The opportunity to play for a club like Tottenham will be an attractive option for the young goalkeeper and he will look to continue his development with regular football at the London club.
Tottenham are currently pushing for a place in Europe next season and they will be hoping to secure Europa League or Conference League football by the end of the season.
