Tottenham join the race to sign €13m Ligue 1 ace at the end of the season

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Renato Sanches.

The midfielder completed a move to the French club last summer for a fee of around €13 million and a report from 90 Min claims that Premier League clubs like Aston Villa, Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also keeping tabs on the player.

Sanches has managed to resurrect his career with a move to France and he could prove to be a useful option for Tottenham in the middle of the park.

The Londoners have a number of quality midfielders like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur at their disposal but they are lacking in creativity. Both Hojbjerg and Bentancur are lacking in craft and someone like Sanches could be the final piece of the puzzle for Tottenham in the middle of the park.

The 25-year-old will add drive, flair, and creativity from the central areas.

Sanches is entering his peak years and he is likely to improve further with experience and coaching. If Spurs managed to agree on a reasonable fee with PSG, it could be a quality acquisition for the Premier League side.

Apparently, all five Premier League clubs are being kept informed of his situation and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can fend off the competition from their Premier League rivals and secure his signature in the coming months.

The Londoners must look to finish in the top four first. Sanches is playing in the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain and he might not be keen on joining a club without Champions League football next year.
