Mario Gila has made a name for himself at Italian club Lazio, and he has impressed with his consistent performances.

He has a contract with the Italian club until 2027, and he’s naturally being linked with a move away from the club at the end of this season. Tottenham are among the clubs interested in signing the defender, and it will be interesting to see if they come forward with an offer for the 25-year-old.

Mario Gila could be on the move

The former Real Madrid player has also been linked with a return to his boyhood club. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can win the race for his signature. According to reports from Spain, he is likely to cost around €30 million, and the player is highly rated across Europe.

Igli Tare said about him: “He’s quick, intelligent, and doesn’t put a foot wrong. He can become one of the top three or four defenders in the world, and it wouldn’t surprise me if Real Madrid wanted him back.”

Spurs move could tempt Gila

The opportunity to play in the Premier League could be exciting for the defender. It would be a fascinating challenge for him at this stage of his career, and he will look to prove himself in England. Tottenham are a big club with an ambitious project. Even though they have struggled this season, they could easily bounce back next year with a couple of intelligent additions.

Aston Villa are interested in securing his signature as well. It will be interesting to see where the 25-year-old ends up. The West Midlands club is pushing for Champions League qualification, and they could be an attractive destination for the player as well. Gila is at the peak of his career right now, and whoever ends up signing him could have a star on their hands.
