Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Polish International midfielder Sebastian Szymanski from Fenerbahce at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old has established himself as a player for the Turkish club, and he has 18 goals and 28 assists to his name for them in 97 appearances. His performance has attracted the attention of Tottenham and Nottingham Forest. According to a report from Aksam, the two clubs are ‘interested’ in the playmaker, and he will cost €25 million in the summer.

The reported asking price seems quite reasonable for a player of his quality, and he could justify the investment in the coming seasons. The opportunity to move to the Premier League could be quite exciting for him. Tottenham have an exciting project and a talented squad. He will want to be a part of their project. He has been linked with a move to Tottenham in the past as well.

Szymanski could compete with James Maddison for the starting spot. The England international has been quite inconsistent, and the competition for places will help Tottenham improve as a squad.

Meanwhile, the Polish midfielder is at the peak of his powers, and he will want to compete at a high-level. Playing in the Premier League could help him improve, and he will look to fight for trophies with Tottenham as well.

It has been a disappointing season for Tottenham, and they will look to bounce back strongly next year. A club of their stature should be competing in the Champions League regularly and fighting for domestic trophies at the very least. They need to improve their squad in order to do well next season. Signing a goal-scoring midfielder would be a wise decision.

The 25-year-old has the physicality and technical attributes to adapt to English football, and he could be a key player for the North London club in the long term.
