Barcelona winger Ansu Fati continues to be linked with a move away from the Spanish club at the end of the season.
According to a report from Spanish publication Sport, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are keen on signing the 20-year-old at the end of the season.
The attacker is reportedly valued between €40-50 million and Barcelona are ready to sanction his departure if the asking price is met. Tottenham and Newcastle certainly have the financial resources to pay that kind of money for the talented youngster and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
Fati has fallen down the pecking order at the Spanish club and he needs to leave in order to play regular first-team football.
The 20-year-old was regarded as one of the best young talents to have come out of the La Masia Academy and he was duly handed the number 10 shirt previously worn by club legend, Lionel Messi.
Fati’s development has been halted because of injury problems and he has not been able to hold down a regular starting spot this season.
The talented youngster has seven goals and three assists to his name across all competitions.
Tottenham need players who will chip in with goals and assists. The 20-year-old could prove to be a superb addition to their front three. On the other hand, Newcastle must look to bring in an upgrade on the inconsistent Allan Saint-Maximin.
Fati has the ability to develop into a world-class footballer with coaching and experience. He could prove to be an excellent long-term investment for both clubs.
