Tottenham initiate ‘formal contact’ with European club ahead of a late move – personal terms agreed with the player

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur have officially initiated ‘formal’ contact with Club Brugge regarding their promising young talent, Antonio Nusa.

Spurs have been active in the January transfer market, securing the signings of Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin early in the window.

But they are not done yet, with Nusa emerging as their next top target. They have been closely monitoring the Norwegian wonder kid, and recent reports have suggested that a £26m move is close to completion, with the player even agreeing personal terms with Tottenham.

And now, a Belgian outlet, Het Laatste Nieuws (via TeamTalk), has confirmed that a ‘formal contact’ has been made on Friday with the club trying to ‘secure the jewel’.

Tottenham is poised to outpace several other clubs, including city rivals Chelsea, in the race for Nusa’s signature.

Nusa, who has scored three goals and provided two assists in the Jupiler Pro League, has been featured in six starting line-ups out of a total of 15 appearances.

The young forward has also earned four caps for the Norway national team, marking his debut goal against Jordan in September of last year.

Ange Postecoglou would be eager to have a player with a profile similar to Nusa—a nifty dribbler with explosive capabilities on the flanks—available to him.
