Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham at the end of the season.
The 19-year-old is highly rated across the country and he has a bright future ahead of himself. Sunderland are pushing for promotion and they could be open to selling the player if they fail to return to the top flight.
Former Tottenham scout Mick Brown has revealed to Football Insider that they could cash in on the midfielder if the right offer is presented. He also added that Spurs are in the running to secure his signature along with Crystal Palace. Both clubs have scouted him extensively.
“Crystal Palace and Tottenham have had scouts watching him this season so they’ll be two of the teams in the running if he is going to leave.
“So it’ll be up to them to assess whether he’s ready to make that jump.
“From a Sunderland point of view, knowing the way the owners want to operate, I think if they get a huge bid for him then they’ll let him go.“
Bellingham could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for Tottenham if they can get the deal done. The technically gifted midfielder will add goals and creativity to the side. He will also add composure and control to the midfield.
The 19-year-old has all the attributes to develop into a reliable Premier League performer in the coming seasons and Tottenham would do well to secure his signature in the summer.
