Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Atalanta midfielder Ederson at the end of the season.
A report from Calciomercato claims that the Italian club will demand €35 million for the Brazilian midfielder and they are unwilling to negotiate for a fee below that.
Juventus are also keen on the 24-year-old central midfielder but they will face competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United who are ‘in the front row’ when it comes to the race for Ederson.
The Brazilian has established himself as a key performer for Atalanta and he is likely to be a quality acquisition for Tottenham as well. The North London outfit need more quality and depth in the central midfield and Ederson and will add creativity, control and composure.
He has six goals and an assist to his name this season and he is capable of operating as the central midfielder as well as a box to box midfielder. The 24-year-old is a hardworking player who will help out defensively as well.
The opportunity to play in the Premier League will be an attractive option for him and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can secure an agreement with his club in the coming months.
The likes of Newcastle and Juventus have the financial muscle to pay the reported asking price as well and Tottenham must look to move quickly in order to beat the competition.
A complete midfielder like Ederson would add a new dimension to the Spurs midfield and help them compete for major trophies next season.
