Real Madrid midfielder Arda Guler continues to be linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.
A report from Fichajes claims that Tottenham Hotspur are one of the three clubs that have ‘shown interest’ in offering the player an exit route out of the Spanish club.
That 18-year-old Turkish midfielder has struggled for regular game time at Real Madrid and he needs to leave to play more often. He cannot afford to sit on the bench at a big club at the stage of his career and he will need regular first-team action. If Tottenham can provide him with that opportunity, a move to the North London club would be ideal for the midfielder.
Guler mostly operates as the central attacking midfielder, but he has the technical ability and flair to operate in the wide areas as well. He will add creativity and goals to the Tottenham attack.
The North London outfit have put together an impressive team but they still need to add some depth to the squad in order to compete across multiple competitions next season. They need to add more creativity and goals to the side. Guler should prove to be a superb long-term investment.
It will be interesting to see Real Madrid are prepared to sell the player permanently at the end of the season. They might feel that it is better to loan him out so that he can continue his development with regular game time. Guler is a prodigious talent with a big future of him and the Spanish outfit might regret selling him so soon.
