Tottenham have possibility of negotiating swap deal to sign ‘incredible talent’

Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gill has been linked with a move to Brighton.

The Premier League club are keen on signing the 22-year-old Spanish winger and the two clubs are currently locked in talks regarding a January transfer.

A report from Daily Express claims that a possibility of negotiating a swap deal involving Evan Ferguson has now arisen.

Tottenham are reportedly keen on the 19-year-old Brighton striker and it will be interesting to see if the two clubs can work out a deal that benefits them both.

The North London outfit need to sign a quality striker and the 19-year-old could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition. Ferguson has previously been linked with the move to Tottenham as a potential replacement for Harry Kane.

The Republic of Ireland international is highly rated in England and he has a bright future ahead of him. He has been described as an incredible talent by Brighton CEO Paul Barber.

“Someone like Evan, who is an incredible talent, he’s still got a way to go to learn his trade,” Barber said.

“Letting him go at some point in the future is going to be, I’m sure, part of the overall plan, both from our side and Evan’s side. But in the short-term we want to try and make sure we develop him the best we can.”

He will be expecting to play for the biggest clubs in the country in future and a move to Tottenham will be an exciting step up for him.

Daily Express claims that even if Tottenham fail to negotiate a swap deal involving Gil and Ferguson, they should let the Spaniard move to Brighton and build a positive relationship with the Seagulls. It could help them land the 19-year-old striker in the near future.

Gil has struggled for regular football at Tottenham and he needs to leave permanently or on loan in order to play more often. Regular football at Brighton could help him get his career back on track.
