Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Genoa attacker Albert Gudmundsson.
The Icelandic attacker has been in fine form for the Italian club this season scoring 12 goals across all competitions. A report from Quotidiano Sportivo claims that Tottenham are looking at the player with ‘great interest’ and they could begin negotiations for him ‘in the next few weeks’.
Spurs have already dealt with Genoa during the January transfer window when they signed Radu Dragusin and they will hope to use the amicable relationship between the two clubs and get a deal done for Gudmundsson now.
The 26-year-old Genoa attacker is certainly good enough for the Premier League and he will be excited about a step up in his career. The opportunity to join Tottenham will be quite attractive for him and it will be interesting to see whether the two clubs can secure an agreement.
It is no secret that Tottenham need to bring in attacking reinforcements and a versatile forward capable of playing anywhere across the front three would be a superb addition.
