Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the move for the Genoa defender Radu Dragusin.
A report from Corriere dello Sport claims that there will be an auction for the 21-year-old defender next month and a number of clubs are keen on signing him.
AC Milan, Napoli and Atalanta have been tracking the defender for a while and they will compete with clubs like Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur next month.
The defender has a €25 million price tag and Tottenham have ‘already made contact’ with the Italian club to sign the player.
The North London outfit need to bring in defensive reinforcements and the 21-year-old would be a solid long-term addition.
The Romanian has shown his quality in the Italian league and he is certainly good enough to play in the Premier League as well.
A move to England would be a step up in his career but he has the ability to adapt to English football quickly and establish himself as an asset for the north London club.
Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are sidelined with injuries and Tottenham must look to bring in a central defender next month. They cannot hope to secure Champions League qualification without sorting out their defensive issues.
Dragusin would be a long-term investment for them and he has the potential to justify the €25 million outlay as well.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can beat the competition from the other European clubs and secure his signature in the coming weeks.
