Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from the club this summer and clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are keen on securing his services.
According to a report from Footmercato, Tottenham are already putting contingency plans in place in case the England international decides to move on.
Apparently, they have placed the Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic ‘at the top of their list’. The 23-year-old is reportedly a priority target to replace Kane at the club.
Vlahovic joined Juventus for a fee of around €82 million including add-ons, but he has not been able to live up to the expectations. Despite not being at his best, he scored 14 goals across all competitions last season and he could be a key player for Tottenham.
He has the technicality and physicality to succeed in the Premier League.
Apparently, Tottenham maintain ‘very good relations’ with Juventus since dealing with the Italian club for Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur It could help him secure a deal for Vlahovic in the coming weeks.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to break the bank for him. They are unlikely to have any shortage of resources, especially if Kane is sold.
Vlahovic will be looking to get back to his best and a fresh start in the Premier League could be ideal for him.
Tottenham will have to replace the England international adequately. Kane is one of the best players in the world and he is certainly Tottenham’s best player. His departure will be a damaging blow, and the Londoners will have to fill that void by strengthening the squad as a whole.
