Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
The 26-year-old has had an impressive World Cup campaign where he helped Morocco reach the semi-finals of the tournament. Amrabat has been a key player for Fiorentina in the Italian league as well.
The player was linked with a move away from the Italian club during the January transfer window as well but Fiorentina managed to hold on to him in the end. It seems that Tottenham are plotting a summer move for the 26-year-old and they are currently ‘favourites’ to sign him.
A report from Calciomercato claims that Tottenham were keen on the player during the January window as well and they are ready to ‘come forward’ for him after a leading World Cup campaign.
It is no secret that Tottenham will have to add more depth and quality to their midfield and Amrabat would be a superb acquisition.
The 26-year-old is at the peak of his career and he could make an immediate impact at the London club.
Spurs need to add some physicality and bite to their midfield and the 26-year-old would improve them next season.
Amrabat will be hoping to showcase his qualities at a high level and a transfer to the Premier League could be an attractive proposition for him.
The player has been linked with other European clubs as well and it remains to be seen but the Tottenham can sign him in the coming months.
The Londoners need to add more quality to their squad in order to challenge for major trophies and Amrabat’s aggression in the midfield could give them an edge next season.
