Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
The 29-year-old striker is in the final year of his contract and he is yet to sign an extension with the club.
Kane could look to move on and join a big club this summer. He is yet to win a single trophy at club level and the player of his quality deserves better.
Kane has been linked with clubs like Bayern Munich and Manchester United and recent weeks but former Tottenham striker Darren Bent believes that the player could look to join Chelsea.
He said on Talksport: “I think he’d like to have gone to Manchester City (last summer), but that’s obviously off the table.
“I think he’d like to go to Chelsea, because of Pochettino.”
The Blues are currently managed by the former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino and the Argentine manager has a close relationship with Kane.
It remains to be seen whether the 29-year-old is ready to join a bitter rival in the summer.
Chelsea could definitely use attacking reinforcements and they have been linked with a number of strikers in recent weeks.
Kane is one of the best strikers of his generation and he would be a tremendous acquisition for Chelsea if they managed to pull it off.
However, the Blues are not in the Champions League and Kane will probably feel that he needs to join a club in the Champions League in order to showcase his qualities at the highest level.
Chelsea are going through a period of rebuild as well and there are no guarantees that they will be able to challenge for major trophies next season with several new players in the squad and a new manager in charge.
