Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the Luton Town midfielder Ross Barkley at the end of the season.
The 30-year-old midfielder has been in impressive form for Luton in the Premier League despite their relegation and his performances have caught the attention of clubs like Aston Villa, Manchester United and Newcastle United as well.
According to HITC, the West Midlands club have already opened talks to sign the player. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can swoop in and secure his signature.
They could certainly use more creativity and technical ability in the middle of the park. Barkley will add craft, flair and drive to the midfield. He could prove to be the ideal alternative to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who is expected to move in the summer.
A player of his quality might not want to compete in the Championship next season and it would make sense for him to join a Premier League club. Tottenham have an exciting project and a quality squad. They have a charismatic manager in charge as well.
