Diaby has played in the Premier League before with Aston Villa, and he was outstanding for them. Returning to the Premier League could be a tempting option for him. He knows the league well, and he could make an immediate impact.

Tottenham need an elite creator like him. The player registered 15 assists last season. In his only full season with Aston Villa, he produced 21 goal contributions. The French attacker is capable of operating on either flank, and his versatility will be an added bonus. It remains to be seen whether the Saudi Arabian outfit is prepared to sanction his departure. He is an indispensable asset for them. However, if he decides to force an exit, they will be powerless to stop him.

Tottenham will be looking to get their season back on track after a disappointing first half of the campaign. Signing the right players could help them bounce back strongly. The 26-year-old could certainly make a big difference in the final third and help them things around. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can negotiate a reasonable deal for him.
