Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs keen on signing Jonathan David from LOSC Lille at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old Canadian International will be a free agent in the summer and a report from Fichajes claims that Tottenham are seduced by his quality and they have expressed an interest in securing his signature.

The player will be a free agent in the summer and Spurs will be hoping to snap him up on a bargain. Signing a player of his quality on a free transfer would be a masterstroke from the north London club. They need more quality and depth in the attacking unit and the 26-year-old could transform them in the attack. The Canadian International is more than just a goal scorer, and he will create opportunities for his teammates as well.

The player has 22 goals in all competitions this season and he has picked up 10 assists along the way as well. He has all the tools to develop into a top class Premier League striker and remains to be seen where he ends up. Tottenham are not the only club keen on him and they will face competition from Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle United.

It remains to be seen whether the north London club can convince the player to snub the interest from other clubs and join them instead. They have an ambitious project and talented squad. Another quality striker could transform them in the attack. They will need more quality in the side, if they want to fight for major trophies next season, and David would be an excellent acquisition.

The report further states that the Canadian international’s move to the Premier League seems imminent, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up. He will want to join an ambitious club capable of winning trophies.
