Tottenham Hotspur could part ways with Radu Dragusin just months after signing him.
While the focus will be on signing top-quality players to reinforce their squad, Tottenham are also expected to offload quite a few of their players in the summer for different reasons.
According to a report from The Sun, Ange Postecoglou’s team could sanction the departure of Radu Dragusin for £40 million.
The Australian manager wanted more depth at the back and that is why they forked out £21.5 million to sign him from Genoa in the winter. Since making the move to the North London club, the Romanian centre-back has been involved in just seven Premier League games and has racked up less than 250 minutes of first-team football with Mickey van de Ven and Cristian Romero ahead of him in the pecking order.
The 22-year-old defender is not happy with his role in the team and his agent Florin Manea believes Dragusin could help solve Tottenham’s defensive problems.
The former Genoa centre-back’s agent recently hinted that if the situation doesn’t improve, Dragusin could look for a move elsewhere. It is clear that Dragusin doesn’t want to be an alternative option, he wants regular first-team action. If he does not get it at Spurs, he could move on.
Meanwhile, Spurs do not want to sell the 22-year-old Romanian defender just yet but they would ask for around £40 million if any club comes calling this summer. Tottenham will look to make a significant profit on the player amid interest from the Italian clubs.
