Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Marcus Rashford at the end of the season.

The 27-year-old Manchester United striker is on loan at Aston Villa, and he has 11 goals and nine assists to his name this season. According to a report from football transfers, Tottenham were keen on signing the player before he joined Aston Villa in January. However, the move did not go through.

The report claims that Tottenham could return for him in the summer if Aston Villa decide not to sign him permanently. The West Midlands club have an option to get the deal done for £40 million. Rashford is at the peak of his powers, and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for £40 million.

Tottenham need attacking reinforcements, and the 27-year-old could be the ideal acquisition for them. He can play anywhere across the front three, and he will add pace, flair, and goals to the side. The player seems to have fallen down the pecking order at Manchester United, and he is unwanted at Old Trafford. He needs to play regularly, and leaving Manchester United permanently would be ideal for him.

If Tottenham can provide him with the opportunities he needs, it could be the ideal move for him. Tottenham are in need of a quality attacker as well, and Rashford could certainly improve them.

The player was excellent against Manchester City in his last outing, and former Manchester United star Roy Keane hailed him as a “nightmare” for defenders. There is no doubt that he is a top-quality player, and he will be determined to get back to his best once again. Tottenham should do everything in their power to sign the player if Aston Villa decide against exercising the clause.
