Tottenham could put €35m ace ‘on the table’ as a ‘bargaining chip’ to sign 27-year-old

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries.

The 27-year-old Inter Milan defender has a contract with the Italian club until the summer of 2025 and he is yet to renew his deal with them. Naturally, his future has been a constant topic of speculation and a report from Inter Live claims that Tottenham could enter the race to secure his services.

Apparently, the North London club are keen on signing the Dutch international defender, and they could use Emerson Royal as a part of the deal. The report states that they value the defender at €35 million and they could put him ‘on the table’ as a ‘bargaining chip’ to sign the 27-year-old Inter Milan defender.

It remains to be seen whether Inter Milan are prepared to accept such an offer. Dumfries has proven himself for his club and country. There is no doubt that he could prove to be a quality acquisition for Tottenham as well.

Pedro Porro is currently the first choice right back at the Premier League club, and Dumfries could compete with him for the starting spot.

Competition for places will help both players improve and it would help to improve Spurs as a squad as well. The 27-year-old Dutchman has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past as well and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can secure his services in the coming months.
