Tottenham could move for 38-year-old manager who ‘ticks all of the profile boxes’

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are still looking to bring in a quality replacement for Antonio Conte and they have been linked with several managers recently.

Former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann is reportedly a top target for the Premier League club but they could move for the Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim if they miss out on the 35-year-old this summer.

“If they can’t persuade him to take over, and we know there are obstacles there, the second-tier list is a list of names that ticks all of the profile boxes we mention there now, Ruben Amorim, De Zerbi, Xabi Alonso there’s interest there now,” The Times’ Tom Allnutt said on The Tottenham Way Podcast.

Amorim has done an impressive job at the Portuguese club and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for Tottenham.

Spurs have a talented squad at their disposal and they need a manager who can get the best out of their players.

Amorim’s attacking football could be a good fit for Tottenham, who have the players to execute it.

The opportunity to manage in the Premier League will be quite tempting for the 38-year-old manager as well and he is unlikely to turn down the opportunity.

Amorim has proven his quality against clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham in the European competitions earlier this season and there is no doubt that he has the pedigree to succeed in the Premier League.

Managers like Roberto De Zerbi and Xabi Alonso are on Tottenham’s radar as well.

While De Zerbi has done a splendid job at Brighton and Hove Albion, Alonso has transformed Bayer Leverkusen this season and guided them to the semifinals of the Europa League.
