Tottenham could move for 19-goal World Cup winner if €120m deal materializes

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from the club for a while now.

The 29-year-old could look to leave Tottenham if they miss out on Champions League qualification.

Kane is yet to win a single trophy with the North London club and he could feel that this is the right time for him to join a club where he will be able to win silverware.

Tottenham are going through a transition right now and they are yet to appoint a quality long-term replacement for Antonio Conte. Judging by their recent form, missing out on Champions League football seems like a real possibility now.

It seems that Spurs have already identified a potential replacement if Kane decides to move on.

According to a report from Inter Live, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on the Tottenham striker and the North London giants will move for Lautaro Martinez as his replacement.

Apparently the England international is valued at €120 million. It will be interesting to see if the England international’s suitors are willing to pay that kind of money for him. Kane will enter the final year of his contract in the summer and he could be available on a free transfer next year.

On the other hand, Inter Milan value Lautaro Martinez at €80 million and Tottenham can only move for the Argentine international if the €120m deal involving Kane goes through.

The 25-year-old World Cup winner has proven his quality in Italy and the opportunity to play in the Premier League could appeal to him. Martinez has 19 goals across all competitions to season and he could prove to be a superb, long-term acquisition.
