Tottenham ‘considering’ move for 24-year-old PL ace, utility man ‘could be offered as part of deal.’

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the form of defender Lloyd Kelly.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the north London outfit are ‘considering’ a move for the 24-year-old defender and it remains to be seen whether they can get the deal done.

Apparently, Tottenham are keeping tabs on the player and they could look to make a move for him if they can get rid of their unwanted players.

Romano further states that Eric Dier ‘could be offered as part of deal’.

The 29-year-old has been linked with a move away from Tottenham and his inclusion could sweeten the deal for Bournemouth.

Kelly is versatile enough to operate as the central defender as well as left-back. He could be a useful option for Tottenham in the coming seasons.

Spurs were quite vulnerable defensively last season and they conceded 63 goals in the league. The defensive unit is one area where they will have to improve significantly and they have already signed quality players like Ashley Phillips and Micky van de Ven.

Signing another versatile defender could prove to be a wise decision for them. Kelly is entering his peak years and he will look to establish himself as a key player for Tottenham if the transfer goes through.

Meanwhile, Dier has been heavily criticised for his error-prone performances last year and a move away from Tottenham could be ideal for him as well. The versatile defender could certainly use a fresh start.
