Tottenham consider transfer swoop for Premier League forward

Spurs are reportedly eyeing up a potential transfer swoop for Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins to solve their issues up front.

According to Fichajes, the north London giants are one of the teams looking at Watkins, with the 25-year-old impressing in his time in the Premier League since moving to Villa Park last season.

Tottenham are struggling at the moment due to Harry Kane’s dip in form, and there’s surely room for a talent like Watkins in Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.

Spurs surely still face the threat of losing Kane to Manchester City and other top clubs, so it makes sense to keep an eye on the market for players like Watkins who could do well to fill the void left by Kane if he does move on.

Players like Danny Ings and Patrick Bamford have also been linked with Tottenham in recent times.

We had the chance to bid for Wollie Otkins and opted against it, hard to see him even considering us now when Villa look a far better run, managed and supported team than the toxic mess we have become.

If you’ll forgive me Mark, I don’t believe a word that supposedly comes out of Tottenham about buying anyone. I don’t care who the club are interested in. I’m tired of them.

Why would we be looking at him? Not close to a replacement for Kane and doesn’t address our real problem, which are primarily in our dysfunctional midfield.

I believe Levy made one of his take it or leave it offers to Brentford before he went to Villa. The Brentford owner whose football knowledge is far greater than our chairman’s declined his very kind proposal and sold him for a higher fee to Villa.
It is hardly a surprise that no serious football person takes poor Daniel seriously. After all he did offer Birmingham £1million, probably in instalments, for Jude Bellingham.

Why would he leave an upwardly mobile club to come to us?
