Tottenham are hoping to improve their defensive unit with the signing of the Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi.

They have been linked with a move for the 24-year-old England international for a while, and a report from GMS claims that they are not confident of getting the deal done after winning the UEFA Europa League. They believe that the trophy could help them convince top players to join the club in the summer.

Marc Guehi would be a superb addition

Guehi is one of the best defenders in the Premier League, and he could prove to be an exceptional acquisition for Tottenham. Cristian Romero has been linked with the move away from the club, and they will need to replace him adequately. The Crystal Palace star would be the ideal fit for them.

He has been labelled as an ‘exceptional’ player.

The England international will want to compete at a high level and fight for trophies. Tottenham will be able to offer him Champions League football, and they have won a major trophy recently. It could help them convince the player of their ambitions as a club.

The 24-year-old defender has been linked with other clubs as well, and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can move swiftly and secure his signature. The player is entering the peak years of his career, and he will want to play for a big club. A move to Tottenham will be an exciting opportunity.

Furthermore, the defender is well settled in England, and he could make an instant impact if he joins the London club.

Meanwhile, the defender is entering the final 12 months of his contract, the summer and he is likely to be available for a reasonable price. The report claims that Crystal Palace are likely to accept offers less than £50 million for him.
