Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Celtic attacker Daizen Maeda at the end of the season.

The Japanese International has been outstanding this season with 33 goals and 11 assists to his name. The 27-year-old has shown that he is good enough to play for a bigger club, and a move to Tottenham could be exciting for him.

They need more depth in the attack, and the Japanese International will add pace, flair, and goals to the side. Maeda is in the peak of his career, and he will want to compete at the highest level. A move to the Premier League could be ideal for him.

As per TBR, Tottenham will have to face competition from clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea as well. It will not be easy for the North London outfit to get the deal across the line.

Tottenham need Daizen Maeda

Timo Werner will leave the club this summer when his loan expires. Brazilian international Richarlison has been linked with an exit as well. He has been quite underwhelming since the big-money move from Everton.

Tottenham are in desperate need of a quality attacker, and the 27-year-old Japanese international seems like the ideal fit. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can convince Celtic to sell the player.

Postecoglou to help out in the move?

Meanwhile, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has managed Celtic in the past, and it remains to be seen whether the London outfit decides to stick with the Australian next season as well. In that case, he might be able to use his contacts at the Scottish club and facilitate a potential move for the Japanese international.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few weeks. The 27-year-old is highly rated across Europe, and he has been hailed as a “machine” in the past
