Paratici’s ‘great influence’ could see Spurs offering cash plus 23-year-old for summer target

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with the Genoa attacker Albert Gudmundsson on a daily basis.

The 26-year-old striker is a target for the North London club and former director Fabio Paratici is keen on his signature. A report from Inter Live claims that Paratici still holds ‘great influence’ at the North London club, and he could offer €28-30 million for the Icelandic attacker along with Djed Spence in part exchange.

Spence is currently on loan at Genoa and it will be interesting to see if the Italian club are willing to accept that offer. The striker is reportedly valued at €30 million and therefore Tottenham’s offer will be quite attractive for them. They would get to pocket a substantial fee for the player and a talented young defender like Spence as well.

The 23-year-old right back does not have a future at Tottenham and joining the Italian club permanently could be ideal for him. He has impressed with his performances in the Italian league since joining Genoa on loan at the turn of the year.

Tottenham need Albert Gudmundsson

Meanwhile, Gudmundsson will add creativity and goals to the Tottenham attack. The North London side need a reliable striker who can lead the line for them and the Icelandic international has 13 goals and four assists to his name in all competitions. The part exchange deal could be ideal for all parties and it will be interesting to see if they can pull it off.

Tottenham are pushing for Champions League qualification and they will be an attractive destination for players like Gudmundsson.
