Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Genoa defender Radu Dragusin in recent weeks.
The 21-year-old is highly rated around Europe and Tottenham have already agreed personal terms with the player.
Now Ben Jacobs is claiming that Tottenham are hoping to sign the player for a fee of around £17-20 million this month. A report from Football Insider adds that Tottenham are “calling every day” to secure the transfer.
The North London club are in constant contact with the player’s camp in order to accelerate a move.
It is no surprise that Tottenham are desperate to secure his services. The 21-year-old could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for them. They are currently without key defenders Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven due to injury problems. They will need to sign a quality central defender who can help them tighten up at the back.
Spurs must improve defensively if they want to secure Champions League qualification this season and Dragusin could prove to be a quality addition in the short term as well. The 21-year-old has been outstanding in the Italian league and he has the best tackle success rate in Serie A this season.

Apart from that, he has a towering presence and his aerial prowess will add a new dimension to the side.
Dragusin has the physicality and technical attributes to thrive in the Premier League and Spurs will do well to secure his services for £17-20 million.
The transfer could look like a major bargain in the long term if the player manages to adapt to English football quickly and fulfil his potential with them.
