Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi and could explore a player-plus-cash deal involving Yves Bissouma to facilitate the transfer.

Yves Bissouma arrived at Spurs in the summer of 2022 from Brighton in a deal worth £30 million.

After a challenging debut season under Antonio Conte, the Malian international has thrived under Ange Postecoglou. His performances this season have been stellar, with standout displays against Brentford and Manchester United earning him back-to-back Man of the Match accolades.

His ability to shield the defence, control transitions, and dictate the tempo of play has made him an important presence in Tottenham’s midfield.

Despite his resurgence under Postecoglou, reports suggest Spurs could entertain offers for the 28-year-old if they align with the club’s long-term goals.

Bryan King: Spurs could offer Bissouma in player-plus-cash deal for Davide Frattesi

And now former Spurs scout Bryan King has mooted the club to use Bissouma in a player-plus-cash deal to sign Inter Milan star Davide Frattesi.

Speaking to Tottenham News, he said:

“That would certainly be an interesting player [Frattesi] to bring to the club.”

“However, it would most likely mean a midfielder already at Tottenham – such as Bissouma – probably moving on, or perhaps even being included as part of the deal.

“Who knows, maybe if Bissouma wants a fresh start, and Frattesi does too, Spurs could offer Bissouma plus cash to Inter Milan.”

Tottenham in front row to sign Frattesi

Meanwhile, Tottenham are said to be in the “front row” to sign Davide Frattesi, with sources claiming the club is ready to submit a €32 million bid to secure the Italian midfielder “immediately.”

Frattesi, 25, joined Inter Milan following an impressive spell at Sassuolo and was part of Inter’s title-winning squad last season. Despite his limited starts under Simone Inzaghi, the midfielder has showcased his attacking prowess with three goals and one assist in 16 appearances this season.

Frattesi’s career stats highlight his attacking contributions, boasting 55 goals and 25 assists in 322 games across all competitions. Notable moments include his debut goal for Inter in a 5–1 Derby della Madonnina win over AC Milan and a last-minute winner against Udinese.

A swap deal involving Bissouma and Frattesi could be mutually beneficial for both clubs. Inter Milan are in need of midfield reinforcements, and Bissouma’s defensive qualities and Premier League experience could be an asset.

Meanwhile, Tottenham would gain a dynamic box-to-box midfielder in Frattesi, whose attacking output would complement Postecoglou’s high-tempo style.
