Tottenham to compete with Arsenal for attacker who will cost around €80-100 million

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Samu Omorodion at the end of the season.

The 20-year-old forward is currently on loan from Atletico Madrid and he has been quite impressive for Deportivo Alaves. He has nine goals and an assist in all competitions and he could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for Tottenham.

It is no secret that the North London club needs to bring in a quality striker at the end of the season. They chose not to replace Harry Kane at the start of the season and they have missed a reliable goalscorer this season.

Omorodion could establish himself as a key player for Tottenham in the coming seasons. The 20-year-old could lead the line for them and solve their goalscoring problems. He will need to play regularly at this stage of his career to continue his development. If Tottenham can provide him with game-time assurances, a move to the London club will be an exciting proposition for him.

It would be a major step up in his career and regular game time in England could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his tremendous potential.

A report from Fichajes.com claims that Tottenham will face competition from Arsenal who are looking to sign the 20-year-old attacker as well. Arsenal need to bring in depth this summer, especially with Gabriel Jesus struggling to scoreboard consistently. The Brazilian has found the back of the net just four times in the league this season and Arsenal need an upgrade.

Omorodion could be a long-term option for both clubs. It will be interesting to see which of the two London clubs can get a deal done. The striker reportedly has a release clause of around €80-100 million. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham and Arsenal are willing to pay that kind of money for him.
