Southampton winger Tyler Dibling has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.

The 19-year-old has established himself as one of the best young players in the Premier League, and a report from a Football Insider claims that Tottenham and Manchester City are among the frontrunners to sign the player at the end of the season.

However, the player is valued at £100 million, and former Everton CEO Keith Wyness believes that Southampton will have to be more reasonable with their demands in order for the move to go through.

Wyness has further labelled the Southampton prodigy as a natural talent who is “uncoachable”.

Southampton or the favourites to go down the season, and Dibling will not want to play in the second division of English football. He will want to stay in the Premier League, and the opportunity to join Manchester City or Tottenham could be hard to turn down. Both clubs could provide him with the platform to compete at a high level regularly and fight for trophies in the near future.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.

Manchester City have more financial resources compared to Spurs, but the player needs regular game time. Dibling must seek game time assurances before joining a new club, and Tottenham might be able to provide him with more first team action.

Timo Werner will leave the club in the summer, and Dibling could take his place on the side. Regular football in the Premier League could accelerate his development and help him grow into a top-class player.

Even if Tottenham have to pay a premium for him now, the player could justify the investment in the long-term.
