Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs keen on signing Kyle Walker-Peters on a free transfer this summer.

The 28-year-old is on the radar of Fulham, West Ham and Crystal Palace as well. According to CaughtOffside, Tottenham manager Thomas Frank is keen for the club to sign the versatile defender, and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can finalise the deal.

They could use more depth in the wide areas, and Walker-Peters would be a solid addition. He is capable of operating as a full-back as well as a wing-back. He will look to help out at both ends of the pitch.

Southampton have been relegated from the Premier League, and Walker-Peters will want to compete at the highest level. Joining a Premier League club would be ideal.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can secure an agreement with the player. He will be a free agent soon, and convincing him to join the club will be a priority for the North London club.

Tottenham have a talented squad and a quality manager. They have secured Champions League qualification for the next season, and they could be an attractive destination for players.

Tottenham need quality signings

Tottenham did quite poorly in the Premier League last year and finished just above the relegation zone. They will look to bounce strongly, and they need quality signings. Signing a player with Walker-Peters’ experience and quality on a free transfer would be a huge bargain. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

Meanwhile, the versatile 28-year-old defender could be attracted to the idea of returning to his former club. He knows Tottenham well, and he might be able to settle in quickly and make an instant impact.
