“They’ll take it” – Journalist believes Tottenham will sell player for £60m if an offer is made

Richarlison in action.

Dan Kilpatrick believes Tottenham will be open to selling Richarlison in the summer for the right price.

He had a terrible start to his Tottenham career since joining from Everton in 2022 for £60m, scoring only one goal in his debut season.

Fans expected him to find his form under Ange but he continued to struggle until he got a surgery on his long-standing groin issue.

Since his return, the Brazilian had been enjoying his best form since joining Spurs, scoring 9 goals in his last 10 starts.

Rumours are circulating within the club indicating that the Spurs might pursue a centre forward in the upcoming summer transfer window to find a successor for Harry Kane.

The news has been corroborated by the chief football correspondent at Evening Standard, Dan Kilpatrick.

Speaking on The Tottenham Way Podcast, the journalist suggested that the Lilywhites would consider selling Richarlison if they receive an offer matching the £60 million they paid to sign him from Everton in the summer of 2022.

He said:

“It probably does depend on offers. If someone comes in and offers Spurs their money back this summer then I think they’ll take it, but I doubt they will get that offer.”

Richarlison’s situation at the club is indeed one to watch for the summer.

He has already been attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, who have reportedly been keen on securing his services for some time now.

They also hold the financial resources to pay the £60m Spurs would want for him.

His value however has certainly gone down over the last year or so due to his inconsistent performances.

Whether any club will be willing to pay that fee for him remains to be seen.
