Ange Postecoglou has suggested Tottenham could sign a few more players in the final days of the transfer window.
The North London club have been quite busy in the ongoing transfer window. They have brought in a few exciting young players who will help them in the short as well as the long run. Apart from that, they have extended the loan spell of Timo Werner and signed Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth for a club-record fee to solve their issues up top.
While they seem to have already done the majority of the transfer work, their manager Ange Postecoglou feels there is still a bit of work to be done.
The Australian manager said via Alasdair Gold: “Yeah look probably a couple more will go out, but we’ve done a fair bit of work over the last 12 months in terms of the squad. So, there has been a lot of work done in that area from our perspective, but with a week to go there is still a little bit to do.”
Spurs managed a fifth-place finish in Postecoglou’s first season in charge. While he had already signed a few players who could help him play the brand of football he wanted last season, there was still a lot to be done this summer. The former Celtic boss feels they have added quite a few players who will help him better implement his style. But, with just over a week left in the transfer window, the Tottenham boss has suggested they could go in and sign a few more players.
Apart from the players that will be coming in, he even suggested that Spurs could part ways with a few more players in the final days of the window. While Postecoglou seems quite happy with the work they have done this summer, Spurs fans will elated to hear that there could be a few more changes to their team before the window shuts.
