Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has now revealed why he chose to join the north London club at the start of the season.
The Australian manager feels that Tottenham are a big club who have not won anything for a while, and he was keen to take up a challenge. It will be interesting to see if he can help them end their wait for a trophy in the coming seasons.
He said (h/t Fabrizio Romano): “The main reason I joined Tottenham more than anything else, it hasn’t won anything for a while. That’s why I came. That’s the biggest attraction”. “It’s the PL, I’m earning decent money, high profile, great stadium, facilities… but I love the challenge”.

Tottenham have certainly impressed under his management this season and their exciting brand of football has attracted praise from fans as well as neutrals. Tottenham are currently pushing for Champions League qualification and it will be interesting to see if they can finish the season strongly and secure a place in the top four.
Tottenham have done well under Postecoglou
Postecoglou has done well to sign a number of talented players as well, and they certainly have an exciting squad at their disposal. If Spurs can plug the gaps in their squad during the summer transfer window with a couple of of intelligent additions, there is no reason why they cannot push for trophies is next season.
It will be interesting to see if they can finish the season strongly and secure Champions League qualification for the next season. It will allow them to attract top class players during the summer transfer window.
They are currently fifth in the league table with Aston Villa three points ahead of them in the standings. However, Spurs have two games in hand and they will move into the top four if they can win those games.
