Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has provided an update on the injury sustained to Brennan Johnson during the game against Nottingham Forest.
The Welsh attacker was forced off in the first half after receiving a nasty whack on the head while trying to challenge for the ball.
Johnson was down on the ground for a long time receiving medical attention and was bleeding from a cut on his forehead.
He managed to get up on his feet but was taken off and replaced by Oliver Skipp.
Ange after the game provided a positive update on the attacker confirming that there was no concussion, only a nasty cut on his forehead and that he should be okay for the next game.
He said (via Alasdair Gold):
“He should be ok. He’s just got a nasty cut to his head. Nothing that should keep him out. No concussion, just a cut on his head.”
This will come as a boost for Ange who can not afford any more injuries to the team, specially during the busiest time of the year.
They are already without Solomon and Perisic, and will be losing Heung-min Son in a few weeks as well.
Their next game is against an Everton side who have started to look like a formidable team under Sean Dyche.
