Tottenham Hotspur remain keen on signing Edmond Tapsoba from Bayer Leverkusen.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham are prioritising the 24-year-old defender as a ‘top target’ and ‘talks will continue’ between the two clubs.

The London club are keeping tabs on Micky van de Ven as well and they will decide on who to sign depending upon the asking price. Both the defenders could prove to be quality additions to the Tottenham backline.
Spurs seemed quite vulnerable defensively last season and that is one area in need of reinforcements.
Tapsoba could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for them. The 24-year-old has certainly proven himself in the Bundesliga and he is good enough to make an immediate impact in the Premier League as well.
Apart from his defensive qualities, the 24-year-old will add pace to the Tottenham backline as well.
Given the way Ange Postecoglou loves to play, Tapsoba should be a good fit for his free-flowing attacking football.
The 24-year-old is still relatively young and he is likely to improve further with coaching and experience. He could develop into a top-class player for Tottenham in the coming seasons.
The defender is likely to be tempted to join Tottenham this summer and it would be an exciting step up in his career.
Tottenham have done well to bring in attacking additions this summer and they have also addressed a major weakness by signing a new goalkeeper. It remains to be seen whether they can iron out the defensive issues in the remaining weeks of the transfer window.
