“Talks still on”: Romano confirms Spurs’ director Johan Lange travelled to monitor transfer target last week

By Mehdi Gokal -

As the transfer window looms, Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of defensive reinforcements intensifies, with Romanian center-back Radu Dragusin emerging as one of the prime target for the North London club.

The 21-year-old Genoa player has attracted significant attention from Spurs, as confirmed by his agent, Florin Manea, acknowledging ongoing discussions between the club and Dragusin.

And now transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shed light on Spurs’ keen interest in Dragusin, revealing that Johan Lange, the newly appointed sporting director, personally went to monitor him during the recent Juventus versus Genoa fixture.

He adds that while no formal approach has been made yet, Spurs are continuing to keep close eye on the player.

However, he further adds that for Spurs, Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo holds a higher position on the list, and discussions with him are ongoing but are not in advanced stage yet.

He shared on X:

“Understand Tottenham director Johan Lange was in attendance at Genoa-Juventus last week to monitor Radu Dragusin.”

“No formal approach to Genoa yet but Spurs keep close eye on Dragusin.🇫🇷 Jean Clair Todibo, higher on the list and talks still on but not advanced/close yet.”

Dragusin’s stature in the Italian League has steadily risen, garnering praise for his performances across 59 appearances for Genoa.

He would be a great addition to the Spurs team if they can manage to sign him in the upcoming window.
