Stellini drops hint that he will ‘make some changes’ to the team ahead of FA Cup tie – confirms one player is set to start

Tottenham’s acting manager Cristian Stellini has been making headlines in the world of football lately. With a 100% record as Tottenham manager, Stellini’s impressive performance has led to praise from players and pundits alike.

Stellini, who stepped up as Tottenham’s acting manager after Antonio Conte had to undergo emergency surgery, has led the team to four wins out of four matches so far. This includes victories against top-flight clubs like Manchester City, Chelsea, and Marseille.

Ahead of the team’s FA Cup tie against Sheffield Wednesday, Stellini has confirmed that he will be making changes to the team. Speaking to Spurs’ official media (via The Athletic), he said:

“The players are feeling good, the team is ready, we will make some changes like normal when we play three matches in a week. But like normal we will try and pick the best team to win the game.”

While Stellini plans on making changes to the team, he has confirmed that Harry Kane will not be rotated. According to Stellini, “No, I don’t feel this. It’s normal that Harry wants to play every game, and we want him to play every game.”

Stellini’s impressive record has led to speculation that he may be considered for future managerial positions. Stan Collymore, a former English footballer and current pundit, even suggested that other English or European clubs may be interested in hiring him as a manager.

Stellini’s success at Tottenham may be attributed to his familiarity with the team. He has been part of the coaching staff since July 2021 when he was appointed as assistant manager. Prior to joining Tottenham, Stellini had assistant coaching experience in Italy with Juventus, Genoa, and Inter Milan.
