Journalist George Sessions has shared the latest on Tottenham transfer target Antonio Nusa.
Spurs have had a decent window so far, making a couple of early signings. They signed Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig and Radu Dragusin from Genoa.
However, Spurs are not done yet as they remain active in the market, aiming to secure another player in the final week of January.
According to George Sessions, they are close to finalising a deal for the highly rated Club Brugge talent, Antonio Nusa.
He confirmed Spurs’ strong desire to sign the youngster and claims that the lack of recent developments are not a point of concern.
Speaking on The Spurs Chat Podcast, Sessions said:
“The second half of the window has been focused on him. I wouldn’t panic too much that it happened last week that the news broke and nothing has happened since. I wouldn’t worry too much. Spurs clearly want Antonio Nusa and in the summer they were mentioned as well, so he’s been on the radar for a long time.
“If I were to stick my neck on the line, I would say that Spurs will probably get this done, especially with this being a loan that suits Club Brugge.”
The North London outfit has initiated discussions with the Belgian club and are now poised to enter the next phase of negotiations to complete the deal for the promising youngster.
The 18-year-old is not open to the idea of making a move in the middle of the campaign, so there’s a possibility that both parties will reach an agreement for a deal that involves Nusa being on loan at Bruges until the end of the season before making a permanent transfer.
The teenager has not been featured regularly in the ongoing season due to a recurring back injury, causing him to miss eight games for the club.
Nonetheless, in the six matches where he has started out of 15 appearances, the Norwegian scored three goals and contributed two assists in the Belgian League.
