Spurs Manage To Overcome A Fake News Campaign And Finally Sign Hojbjerg

By The Boy -

Few have come out of this transfer well. If a journalist is to report upon football matters, then they ought to either be impartial, or declare their bias openly. One particular victim to poor judgement has been The Daily Echo’s Dan Sheldon.

For those with a limited time span, I have bullet pointed Dan’s coverage. One only has to follow his Twitter timeline to get the full picture on some truly partisan reporting.

  • Saints want £35million
  • 3 mystery European sides in the mix
  • Player at Finch Farm and agrees personal terms with Everton
  • Saints accept £25million bid
  • Sheldon on holiday but understands Saints are digging their heels in as the rest of the world says it’s game over, for £20M + add ons

Perhaps Mr Sheldon was not genuinely seeking to mislead, he just found himself in on the wrong end of some duff information.

Let’s wish Dan better luck in the future, should it transpire he has one.

Would make a nice change if Hojbjerg slots into the midfield without bother. Make a change from the list of injured, unfit, psychologically distressed, or needing two years to settle bunch of misfits.
